About Lei Willems
How creativity became a business challenge.
Anyone who takes on the challenge of writing a book about Lei Willems’s life will create a thrilling adventure story. A book in which Lei, the youngest of four, was constantly searching for something more fun, better, higher, and at the very least, different. With his creative mind, he thinks and works in images. In his childhood imagination, anything was possible. And that’s still true today.
It is remarkable how he consistently turns an idea into a success by finding creative solutions to ensure its feasibility. He is highly regarded for the way he combines his unconventional ideas with excellent execution. It is this unique combination that enables him, like no one else, to achieve goals by taking paths others would never consider. That strength forms the solid foundation of his success.
Lei, a visionary and doer, stands for true innovation, beauty, and the creation of events that captivate, influence, and inspire the target audience.
His track record is as impressive as it is adventurous. As an entrepreneur, Lei has been—or still is—involved in events and pop-ups that everyone is familiar with. To name a few: Polo Brabant, Eindhoven Culinair, the restaurants Mathilde and FFFS in the Lichttoren and the Admirant, FIFTH NRE, the Schellensfabriek, DDW & Kippenkafee, GLOW, and the playoff parties at Oranje Zwart. Outside the region, the PROVADA fair. And since late 2022, with his new label NOT\STANDARD. All creative ventures that have gained recognition far beyond the region.
The appreciation is even greater when it comes to organizing hundreds of memorable events and creating unique experiences for a wide range of clients. Events with unique, yet sometimes obvious objectives, but always conceived with creativity as the starting point. Whether it involves organizing small or large-scale (corporate) parties, presentations, booths, interiors, anniversary celebrations, or events aimed at relationship marketing. Lei’s added value is evident and NOT\STANDARD. For over 25 years! Part of that time with his (identical) twin brother Lukas and, since 2022, with his partner Lennart.
